Hisense Europe presents awards to its top suppliers

04.12.2024
On Tuesday, December 3, Hisense Europe presented awards for the first time to our suppliers who have excelled in the areas of quality, sustainability, innovation and supplier excellence over the past year. With the supplier awards, we aim to highlight the exceptional achievements of companies that have made a significant contribution to the success of the Hisense Europe Group through their efforts, innovation, sustainable practices and commitment to quality. The winners in all categories have set high standards that will continue to serve as an example for the development of a sustainable, innovative and quality supply chain. Hisense Europe remains committed to partnering with suppliers who share our vision of growth, competitiveness and social responsibility.

The Best Supplier Awards are an event that we will now hold once a year, as we want to publicly recognize and reward the exceptional contributions of suppliers who have proven themselves with procurement efficiency, high quality, innovation and sustainable operations. In a challenging and volatile global economic environment, where supply chains are constantly exposed to a number of unpredictable factors, we in our industry are all the more exposed. That is why we wanted to specifically celebrate the achievements of leading suppliers as examples in their categories, setting new standards in the industry. It is about strengthening relationships with suppliers in the long term and clearly communicating the company's values and commitment to achieving excellence.

The event was attended by representatives of companies - our suppliers from all over the world, who were nominated for the awards. In his address, the CEO of Hisense Europe, Hanson Han, highlighted the importance of shared progress and partnership with suppliers, based on quality, innovation, excellence in procurement and sustainability, and emphasized that the purpose of the event is not a competition, but a celebration and further encouragement for cooperation and even more joint successes, which we celebrate with exceptional suppliers.

Suppliers were also welcomed by Tomaž Korošec, Executive Vice President of Hisense Europe, and Ruchan Ozerdem, Executive Director of Strategic Procurement, who highlighted the high level of requirements that Hisense Europe sets for suppliers, especially in the areas of sustainability, ethics and quality, and highlighted the strategic importance of working with suppliers who are leaders in their respective fields.

We presented the awards for the best suppliers in four categories:

The Sustainability Award goes to suppliers who stand out for implementing sustainable practices in their operations. Suppliers were assessed in the areas of environmental protection, respect for human rights and ensuring good working conditions for employees, and sustainability management in their supply chain. The award went to the supplier of plastic granules, Bordoschem, which distinguished itself in implementing sustainable practices in the areas of society, environment and governance.

The Innovation Award is given to suppliers who are our key partners in developing new solutions. The award went to Forlit, with whom we developed innovative sustainable paper packaging, as it demonstrated exceptional potential for innovation through close collaboration with the procurement and R&D teams.

The Quality Award highlights suppliers who excel in ensuring the quality of supplied materials and effectively resolving any quality issues. The award went to Changzhou Changzheng Evaporator Co., a supplier of refrigerator evaporators, which demonstrated exceptional performance across key criteria, including minimal delivery complaints, high scores in quarterly assessments, and successful sourcing of complex, higher-value materials.

The Procurement Award recognizes suppliers who deliver exceptional value through price competitiveness, strategic alignment, and excellent relationship management. The award went to Copreci S. Coop., a supplier of induction hob electronics, for its alignment with the business objectives of the Hisense Europe Group, achieving cost efficiency, and excellent communication. "We are very proud and appreciate receiving this award from Hisense Europe. At Copreci, we believe that teamwork, not only our performance, is what has led to such success, including the collaboration with the Hisense Europe team. For us, it is crucial how we continue to add value to the market. Improving our performance, for Hisense Europe and for Copreci, is our goal and we will continue to strive in this direction," said Javier Garcia, CEO of Copreci, upon receiving the award.
