23.01.2025
Gorenje is once again a proud recipient of the Green Star certificate and has achieved an excellent rating – Green Leaders. This confirms that sustainability is strongly embedded in the company's operations and that we are actively improving our climate footprint.

The Green Star certificate is a certificate of excellence for progress on the path of a company's green transformation, which includes the structured introduction of sustainability (ESG) aspects and climate action into its operations. The basis for issuing the certificate is the Green Star ESG rating in the field of sustainable business and the climate action rating. The ESG rating assesses the impact of management, environmental and social factors on the company and the company's footprint and impact on the environment, society and climate. The Green Star ESG rating is based on international frameworks and standards for sustainability reporting and European legislation.

The Green Leader rating ranks us among advanced companies that have the principles of sustainable business strongly embedded in their business strategy and business models and that the responsibility for sustainable business is taken by the company's management.

As a Green Leader, we strive to assess climate risks and seize opportunities on the path of green transformation, actively contribute to climate neutrality by setting ambitious climate and other environmental goals, measure the situation in all three ESG areas, assess the impact of climate risks on our business, supply and utility chain, select appropriate measures based on the goals we set, have experience in implementing sustainable solutions for which we make data-based decisions, actively involve employees and relevant partners in green transformation and sustainable operations, and strive to adequately communicate progress both within the company and to external stakeholders.
